Follow and reply to a support conversation

Use the Support Inbox to read HRStuff replies, understand the status and continue a conversation you started.

What this guide helps you do

Every signed-in bug report and feature request becomes a conversation in the Support Inbox on Contact Us. The conversation keeps the original message, any private screenshot, every reply and its current status together.

Public enquiries sent before signing in are different. They are answered using the visitor’s email address and do not appear in a customer Support Inbox.

Open the Support Inbox

  1. Choose Contact Us from the left navigation

A badge appears beside Contact Us when HRStuff has replied to one of your conversations.

  2. Find Support Inbox

The table lists the latest activity date, message type, feature for bug reports, one-line summary, status and a View action. HR administrators also see who started each conversation.

  3. Choose View

The dialog shows the original message and replies in time order. A bug report also shows a link to its private screenshot when one was attached.

Read the conversation status

  • Waiting for HRStuff means the original report or latest customer reply is waiting for HRStuff staff to respond.

  • Waiting for you means HRStuff wrote the latest reply and the original sender can respond.

  • Closed means the conversation is complete. Its history remains readable, but another reply is blocked until HRStuff reopens it.

  • Opening Contact Us marks support-reply notifications as seen and clears the Contact Us badge. It does not mark unrelated notifications as read.

Reply to HRStuff

  1. Open a conversation you started

Only the original sender receives the reply box. A company administrator reading a colleague’s conversation sees an explanation instead.

  2. Write the next useful fact

A reply may contain up to 4,000 characters. Add the result of a requested check, a narrower example or confirmation that the problem is resolved.

  3. Choose Send reply once

HRStuff protects against an accidental duplicate submission. After sending, the conversation returns to Waiting for HRStuff.

Understand who sees the conversation

  • An ordinary user sees only conversations they started. Other employees and managers do not see them.

  • An HR administrator sees conversations from the whole company account, including the original sender, but has read-only access to conversations started by somebody else.

  • HRStuff support staff use the support inbox to read and reply. Signed-in conversations stay inside the product; no email is sent for the original message or replies.

  • A support reply also appears in Notifications for the original sender and links directly back to the conversation.

If you cannot find or answer a conversation

  • Confirm that you are signed in with the same login that sent it. A colleague’s login will not show it.

  • Ask an HR administrator to confirm whether the company conversation exists. They can read its status but cannot reply for you.

  • If the status is Closed, HRStuff must reopen it before the reply box returns.

  • Signed-in support conversations do not have email copies. Read and reply to them in Contact Us.
