Sign in, stay signed in and reset your password
Use your work email, understand remembered devices and recover access safely.
What this guide helps you do
Use the work email address assigned to your HRStuff login and your own password. Your login and company must be active. If you have an employee login, it must also be linked to an active employee record.
Passwords are never shown to HR. An HR administrator can send a private setup or reset link, or issue a temporary password that you must replace when you next sign in.
Sign in normally
Open Log in
Enter the work email address used for your HRStuff login, then enter the password. The eye button can reveal what you typed on your own screen; it does not reveal a stored password.
Decide whether this is a private device
Selecting Keep me signed in on this device for 30 days keeps you signed in on that browser for a fixed 30 days. Use it only on a device and browser profile that nobody else uses. Leave it unticked on shared, public or borrowed equipment.
Complete email verification if asked
When the company requires email two-factor authentication, HRStuff sends a six-digit code to the login email. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes. Enter it on the verification page to finish signing in.
You may request another code after one minute. Only the newest code will work.
After five incorrect codes, start again with your email and password.
If no code arrives, check spam and confirm with HR that the login email is correct. Repeated code requests are temporarily limited.
Replace a temporary password
A temporary password is only a way into the password-change screen. HRStuff will not let you continue into the app until you replace it.
Enter the temporary password, choose a new password of at least 10 characters, repeat it exactly and choose Change password. A short phrase that is memorable to you and difficult for somebody else to guess is better than a short, complicated word.
Reset a forgotten password
Choose Reset it by email
On the Log in page, open Forgotten your password? Reset it by email. Enter the work email address used for the login and choose Email reset link.
Check that email account
If an active HRStuff account uses the address, HRStuff sends a private link. The confirmation is deliberately the same when an address is unknown or inactive, so the page cannot reveal which email addresses have accounts. Check spam and allow a few minutes for delivery.
Use the link within one hour
The link works once and expires after one hour. If it has expired, has already been used or was replaced by a newer password change, request a new link rather than forwarding or reusing the old one.
Choose and confirm the new password
Use at least 10 characters and enter the same password twice. A successful reset signs out this browser and every other session for that account, then returns you to Log in.
Change a password while signed in
Open My Profile and choose Change password. Enter the current password, then the new password twice. A successful change keeps the device you are using signed in and signs out every other device.
HRStuff emails the login address after a password is created, reset or changed. If you receive that message without making the change, reset the password immediately and tell your HR administrator.
If sign-in still does not work
Check for a typing mistake and make sure the address is the login email, which may differ from the personal email on My Profile.
Several wrong passwords in a row temporarily pause the account. Wait a few minutes or use the password-reset route instead of repeatedly guessing.
Ask HR to check that the login, employee and company are active. The sign-in message stays deliberately general and will not tell an unknown visitor which part is inactive.
An ordinary session stays active while you use HRStuff and expires after a period of inactivity. A remembered session ends after 30 days even if it was used recently.
Choose Log out when finished. If your session has already expired or changed in another tab, Log out still removes the saved sign-in information from this browser and returns you to Log in.
